WHAT? No more Geoff Peterson? No more Secretariat? No more cheeky monologues? No more impressions? Yes, Craig Ferguson announced yesterday that he will be leaving CBS’s The Late Late Show in December. Leno and Letterman lead the path and now Ferguson has followed suit. Craig Ferguson has hosted for 10 years and brought great innovation to a show that entertained the masses in the wee hours of the night. He took the show to different countries like Paris and Scotland. He dedicated entire episodes to just interviewing one guest, like Stephen Fry. He even did serious commentary regarding events like his U.S. citizenship and the Boston Marathon bombings. There’s no doubt he will be greatly missed but he does have projects planned post talk show gig, like hosting the boardgame based Celebrity Name Game. So don’t worry about old Craigy Ferg. He’s off to bigger and better things.
