New York-based producers Jason Jude Hill and Daniel Sears of Grumpy Entertainment are revamping their popular variety show, RSVP, into an online, socially distanced affair during the pandemic. RSVP is always a unique endeavor for all those who attend, and the creators involved plan to keep it that way! The upcoming events on May 21, June 4th and June 18 will not be your typical pandemic Zoom meeting type fare (not that there’s anythibg wrong with that). The producers have contacted all the performers they’ve worked with in the past to make something truly special. The RSVP events will be “a streaming mixtape of pre-recorded, talent-filled bits from exciting artists with a different lineup each time.” All events will be streamed online. Tickets holders are encouraged to dress up and “party in tandem” in their comfy abodes. RSVP will offer up curated cocktail and party snack recipes to guests, and a special Spotify playlist will be rocking those auditory receptors to get everyone in the entertainment mood. If that all sounds enticing, take a look at Thursdays lineup of variety:
Mercy Bell (Queer Singer Songwriter)
Reformed Whores (Irreverent Musical Comedy)
Vetanda Dance Collective (Modern Dance)
Cornelius Loy (Theremin Virtuoso)
Delysia La Chatte (Scintillating Burlesque)
Venatrix (Drunk Science Lecture)
Kathy Zimmer (Cosmopolitan Folk Music)
Hosted by Jason Jude Hill & Daniel Sears
