A therapist is bound to hear some pretty eye-opening, gritty stuff. In this new one-woman musical comedy from Becky Goodman directed by Jay Malsky, one therapist (the audience) is about to get quite the musically accompanied whopper. How To Have An Affair Without Really Trying is about a nineteen-year-old’s first ever relationship with a, wait for it… sixty-year-old married man. Cue dramatic music! The show features writer and performer Goodman utilizing a guitar, kazoo, and children’s Casio keyboard to tell the reluctant tale of her romantic beginnings and all the affairs she’s had in between to her mental health professional. The show starts February 18th, with more performances at the ready February 27th and March 12th. Don’t miss all these rib-tickling shenanigans happening at The Tank!
Mentions: February 18th show 9:30pm. Tickets $15 online/at the door. The Tank is located at 312 W 36th Street. Follow Becky on Ig @beckygoodtimes. Jay Malsky’s IG -> @gaymalsky.
