Something humorous I just read is that a pair of designer shoes will set a person back well over three grand. Shoes? SHOOZ! Those things you walk around on and step in gum with. The one that just gave you a bunions. OK, maybe not that pair because if you are paying THREE grand, it better feel like you are walking on sponge cake. Mmmm, cake. Anyways, that was something I read. Tuesday, December 17th at Caveat, you can enjoy actual literary humorists reading their most literary humor at an EVENING OF HUMOROUS READINGS. These writers/readers will be doing all the heavy lifting:
Diana Chan (Flexx, Boogiemanja, The Comedy Local)
Emily Flake (The New Yorker, The Nib, Mama Tried: Dispatches from the Seamy Underbelly of Modern Parenting)
Colin Nissan (McSweeney’s [“It’s Decorative Gourd Season, Motherfuckers”], The New Yorker, The Best of McSweeney’s Internet Tendency)
hosted by
Brian Agler (The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, Splitsider)
Luke Burns (The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, New York Magazine)
James Folta (The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, Points In Case)
Now get back to your reading. Also, thank goodness for cheap fuzzy slippers.
Mentions: Show 7:30pm, doors 6:30pm. $10 tickets HERE. Caveat is located at 21 A Clinton Street.
