I believe it was Lemony Snicket that said “fate is like a strange, unpopular restaurant filled with odd little waiters who bring you things you never asked for and don’t always like.“ At the NEW, upcoming show KISMET, the audience’s entertainment destiny will rely on the mere spin of a wheel. The comedic showcase will feature top NY comedians putting their sets in the hands of the “Wheel of Fate,” a fickle creature indeed. This “Comedy Show of Chances” is produced Mike Lasher and Caitlin Reese, and will include comics spinning to determine what intriguing effects the dizzying device will have on their performance. The possibilities will include voice modulation, dance offs, backwards jokes, various themes, audience participation and whatever emerges from those clever KISMET-rich minds. The November 11th lineup at Brooklyn’s The Knitting Factory will include performers:
Chris Gethard (The Chris Gethard Show, Beautiful Anonymous)
Chloe Hilliard (Comedy Central)
Emmy Blotnick (The Late Show w/ Stephen Colbert)
Jay Jurden (The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon)
PLUS Special Guests!!!
Round and round it goes, where it stops, nobody knows (but we’ll sure you’ll giggle anyway)!
