Kids, this is the fourth year of the 2019 Harlem Comedy Festival which showcases and celebrates people of color in the New York City comedy scene. This year the lineup includes headliners Tony Woods (BET, ComedyCentral), Drew Fraser (Comedy Central), Chaunté Wayans (Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready on Netflix), and features Leonard Ouzts (Conan), and more comedy talent. Per Harlem Comedy Festival founder Neruda Williams,
“For the fourth year in a row, The Harlem Comedy festival is expanding our reach and audience and will feature more national headliners and industry on our stages in uptown Manhattan. It’s time for the world to know who The Harlem ComedyFestival is and what we’re about.“
Events at the fest will include stand up showcases, sketches, competitions, networking meet and greets, a closing night party and more all taking place in the historic neighborhood of Harlem. The founders of the festival are looking “to address the lack of diversity in television, film and the comedy world at large, and shine a light on comedic talent that might otherwise go overlooked,” as well as “hope to inspire others to develop their own comedic skills and work to achieve their own goals.” Cheers to that! Full showcase passes are available, as well as individual show tickets. Learn more HERE!
