So what was my favorite part of the 90’s firefighter thriller “Backdraft?” Oh, probably a glistening Kurt Russell and the late Universal Studios fire special effects show that blossomed post cinematic success. Ah, memories. Hey, nostalgia is a great thing! Today let all those memories come rushing back as a new comedy short heats up the scene. Backpackdraft, written and directed by Justin Michael (Audible’s Bad Reception,Adam Ruins Everything, Danger & Eggs), brings your attention to the much underappreciated heroes of the firefighting profession, the backpack firefighters. Oh, you say they don’t exist, but this tale will have you thinking differently. Watch as we learn that “sometime’s being cool is being safe.” Enjoy and always remember to stop, drop, and roll.
