When I was a youngster I was obsessed with any animal I could read about. One day I was at a store with a forced-upon-me friend and pointed out a duck in a frame. I chatted on and on about it’s kingdom, phylum, genus etc and said “friend” slapped me a good one across the face. I tell you, there’s no appreciation for knowledge! We promise there will be no violence (except maybe between the animals) at the next BIODIVERSITY JAM. Thursday, January 10th at Caveat, the Biodiversity Jam will bring together New York’s funniest comedians to discuss the “weirdest and wildest animals” on earth. With 1.5 million animal species, there’s more than data to cover. Your host, Karen Chee (The New Yorker, McSweeney’s) will be joined by her comedy pals for one grand animal kingdom oriented comedy show. Who said you wouldn’t get some zoology in the new year?! GO!
