Coming at you like a stampede of domesticated animals is a Comedy Central special that’s sure to please. This fall Hasan Minhaj (The Daily Show), Fahim Anwar (Drunk History), Asif Ali (Wrecked) and Aristotle Athiras (Webby nominated director for the “Welcome to America” sketch) coalesce their comedic powers for the GOATFACE sketch comedy special. For the first time on television, comedy fans will see the group’s one-hour hybrid special which includes ensemble sketches, an ensemble stand-up set, and individual stand-up performances from each member of the group.
The hilarious comedy quartet formed Goatface in 2011 when the buddies decided to make viral sketches from the perspective of being a brown person in America. They’ve gone on to advance their careers in a major way both separately and as a group, leading to this November special on Comedy Central. The special will employ the group’s diverse comedic styles touching upon pop-culture subject matter, the unique challenge of being brown in America, and relatable personal experiences. The special premieres Tuesday, November 27th on Comedy Central and will be available to stream in the CC App and on CC.com Wednesday, November 28th.
