I’m sure there’s many a self-help book reader that’s gotten their hands on Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus in hopes of finding out what exactly is going on in the mind of the other sex. Having spent a couple million hours in those bookstore aisles, I’ve come to the conclusion that’s it’s no easy task trying to figure out gender behavior. Lucky for you, two guys — Thomas Fricilone and Justin Linville — and two girls — Kelly Cooper and Caitlin Dullea are brave enough to go THERE Friday, November 16th at Vital Joint. You see, they’ve written plays for their counterparts to perform. These two original plays, written independently of one another, are “a comedic theatrical experiment that aims, of course, to “explore and satirize gender behaviors and norms.” So that means the audience gets to see what exactly happens when two mean write a play for two women, and vice versa. Fun! There’s no dating involved, but, gosh, I bet the results will be MORE than illuminating. Be there for the grand comedic experiment that is TWO GUYS, TWO GIRLS!
