Hmmm, memorable loudest comedians? A toss up between Judy Tenuta, Sam Kinison, and Gilbert Gottfried. Back in the day HBO specials were the big draw. These days Netflix reigns supreme. If you can secure a Netflix special, you’ve at least got your foot in the door, kid. Of course, not every comedy special funded by Netflix makes it to air. *Sniffle* So Sunday, September 2nd at the Peoples Improv Theater in Manhattan, you will be privileged to learn the story of one special that didn’t make the cut. LOUD IN VEGAS: The Rejected Netflix Special from the Loudest Comedian of the 80s will bring you the Loudest Comedian of the Devo age who was banned in comedy clubs, theaters, bars and, yes, even strip clubs. You might remember his previous special Showtime’s Free Cocaine: Up All Night with the Loudest Comedian of the 80s. You may have also seen him in ALF and Comedy Relief 8: Live In Lebanon. Two things we can guarantee is that the volume will be up and these performers will be on alert:
Eric Yearwood (The Opposition with Jordan Klepper)
Dave Bluvband (The Chris Gethard Show)
Amanda Xeller (Brooklyn Comedy Collective)
John Sartori (UCB’s Maude Night)
Ben Cohen (Buzzfeed)
and a special Q&A with the famed performer, The Loudest Comedian of the 80s.
Be there with your ears and hearts open wide!
