When you hear the names John, Paul, George and Ringo, what do you think of? When is it time for my next latte? NO, silly! You think of THE BEATLES, one of the most widely regarded bands in music history. You may know that the fateful day they played The Ed Sullivan Show way back when Beatlemania spread through people’s veins like a rampant virus. However, there’s far more to the story than that. Friday, August 31st at the Brooklyn Comedy Collective, narrator and host Thomas Fricilone and a cast of informed improvisers will re-tell the tale of the birth of history’s most famous band.
THE RETELLINGS show will answer questions like, “What finally convinced Paul and John to let George into their band?” and “Why did they all choose Ringo over Pete Best?” Could you figure out the answers on your own? NO, only Brooklyn’s most talented comedians can answer those questions and MORE! The Retellings will feature improvisers Brett Davis, Sally Burtnick, Tim Platt, Maya Sharma, Adam Bangser, Caitlin Dullea, Mac Edgery, and more. You will no longer need a Yellow Submarine to dive into Beatles facts and see “honest” re-enactments of never before seen scenes. Don’t miss out!
