Quick Dish NY: Learn & Laugh at SCIENCE EXCLAMATION POINT Tomorrow at Caveat

Caveat

Do you love improv? Do you love science? Well, smash those two Oreo like ends together and you have SCIENCE EXCLAMATION POINT!. Tomorrow, February 3rd at Caveat NYC, veteran improv team Thank You, Robot (members’ credits include Veep, This American Life, The Onion, SNL Weekend Update, & more) joins forces with a special guest team with the added bonus of a science lecture curated by Dr. Ben Lillie. Per the Science Exclamation Point! team,

For our shows, we invite two researchers or science writers to give a short talk on the nature of their work. We use that talk as a jumping off point for one of our two improv teams to create science-fueled comedy based on the previous lecture. It’s a great opportunity to learn and laugh a lot!

Kids, you may never have to read a science book, again! Just attend every Science Exclamation Point!, and your head will be filled with science-y goodness for a lifetime. OK, it’s better advice to read but at least the improv makes it a hell of a lot more exciting! Pssst, you should know that the speakers for the evening will be Ben Lillie and Kate Downey, the guest improv team will be The Mannequin Room, and the solar eclipse will be a topic of note. Be there for all that is wise and funny! GO!
