It’s the final episode of the BEAUTY’S ALWAYS BEEN A BITCH season and this time the beauty guru has an oral fixation. It’s Kyoto 1543 and Nitta Tanaka (Kaitlyn Tanimoto) is bringing you the ancient beauty tips of Japan. Apparently up until the Meiji era it was très popular to dye one’s teeth black because yellow teeth against a painted white face was just not pretty. On one hand, it prevented tooth decay, but on the other, maintaining a glaze-like lacquer grill was a real biatch. Per Ms. Tanaka, the process consisted of mixing up vinegar, sake, green tea, cinnamon and iron filings and taking a swish. And you thought brushing your teeth with some activated charcoal was nasty! Stay beautiful, you Ohaguro babes. Enjoy BLACKEN THAT GRILL!
