The Big Bang Theory episode “Proton Displacement” was fantastic for so many reasons. The episode focused on Sheldon’s tendency to drive people away with his annoying behavior. Bob Newhart reprised his role as Professor Proton. Bill Nye made an appearance as himself playing a pawn in Sheldon’s evil plan to make Professor Proton jealous. Rajesh made functioning light saber belt buckles as a peace offering to Howard after a girl’s night jewlery making debacle. And we delighted in Penny’s relationship with glue. However, the greatest moment of the episode was not the actual story but what came after. Chuck Lorre‘s vanity card #429 really hit home for weary Californians who commute every day. When truth and humor join in a perfect marriage it is a thing of beauty. READ!
