If the teaser image wasn’t a dead giveaway, Adam Scott and friends unleashed their recreation of the intro for the 80s sitcom Too Close for Comfort last night. Of The Great Event in Television History mokumentaries this has to be my favorite. With personalities like Ted Knight and Jim J Bullock “Too Close for Comfort” was cherished in my household. So it was with great scrutiny that I watched this intro. Once again Jeff Probst hosted the behind the scenes portion of the event where all the players were introduced: Catherine O’Hara (Nancy Dussault), Jon Glaser (Ted Knight), Chelsea Peretti (Deborah Van Valkenburgh), Kathryn Hahn (Lydia Cornell) and Adam Scott (Jim J Bullock). The highlights of the preview included Catherine O’Hara and Kathryn Hahn speculating on whether they were actually filming for the new Star Wars film, Jon Glaser preparing for the Ted Knight stunt, Jason Mantzoukas as the despot director and Adam Scott overcoming his fear of sitting with the aid of Jon Hamm‘s ghost.
