Life gets messy, so you might as well laugh along the way! Thank the heavens there’s a place to consolidate all that MESS. THE MESSY SHOW will be bringing all that fun indoors for the first time at Superchief Gallery in Brooklyn. The show initially debuted in a secret outdoor space in Williamsburg featuring “all bits too messy to do indoors.” The mess spread, as did their following, and now it’s time to confine the outrageous jumble to an inviting space. Previous performances have included those from sketch group Murderfist, Sandy Hong & Alyssia Stonoha, Eric Yearwood, Annie Donley, and, most appropriately, SOAP who created and host the show. Saturday, February 11th SOAP (Andrew Benedict, Ben Hosley, Erin Coughlin, Joel Straley) brings you a comedy variety show where it is each performer’s goal to make an downright pigsty of the stage while entertaining a possibly very dirty audience. The show will include a mix of sketch, improv and standup acts, including
Members of the Holy Fuck Comedy Hour (The Annoyance Theatre)
Brett Davis (The Special)
Diana Kolsky & Murf Meyer (IFC, The Chris Gethard Show)
Dan Chamberlain (UCB, Above Average)
Buzz Off, Lucille (UCB)
Featuring John Sartori, Sam Taffel, Richard Templeton, Eric Yearwood & Amanda Xeller
Don’t miss out on this giggly and grubby good time!
