BoJack Horseman may rule the roost in Hollywood, but in HORSE COURT horses are only secondary to the law. This new animated series, from brothers Matt and Charlie Laud, takes place in a world run by the equine where justice is laid down in a “show” courtroom. Think Judge Judy, The People’s Court and maybe a little Law & Order. The five episode series follows Sam Conroy (Alise Morales, UCB, IFC, Betches), a serious lawyer and one of the few humans in the world, as she does her best to uncover a conspiracy spiraling around her. In the first episode Sam’s horse client, Mr. Poppy, is accused of flooding the police station with apple juice. Will the courtroom pay attention to the show’s brilliant human lawyer or just talk about coffee all day? Will Barney (Dan Chamberlain, UCB, Above Average, Thingstarter), the endearing showrunner, convince Sam to keep trying cases? What you are about to witness is not real. The participants are mostly horses. This is HORSE COURT. BOOM BOOM!
Series creators Matt and Charlie Laud are comedians whose work has been featured on Funny or Die, College Humor, Red Hot Video Fun Time, and the 2016 New York Television Festival. The cast of “Horse Court” includes Alise Morales, Dan Chamberlain, Charlie Laud, and Matt Laud.
