Hey kids, the 2016 L.A. Podfest is almost upon us. I hope you’ve secured your tickets and accommodations because this year’s should be huge. September 23-25 at the Sofitel Los Angeles in Beverly Hills expect a collection of the best podcasters, their special guests, fans and other familiars of the podcasting industry. Launched on Kickstarter five years by founders Dave Anthony, Graham Elwood and Chris Mancini, the L.A. Podfest has quickly become a staple of the comedy festival circuit. The fest has even expanded to include a wide-range of other podcast genres. This year’s lineup includes Comedy Film Nerds, The Dollop, Never Not Funny, Girl on Guy with Aisha Tyler, Sklarbro Country, Improv 4 Humans, Cashing in with T.J. Miller, The Todd Glass Show, Alison Rosen is Your New Best Friend, Who Charted?, Fitzdog Radio, The Crabfeast, Road Stories, and so many more. In addition to the podcasts you love, there will also be informative panels hosted by industry experts, including Narrative Storytelling, Connecting Music and Podcasts and Content Evolution. Also this year the podfest has partnered with the LA radio institution KCRW and FLOOD Magazine. Check their socials for special announcements and offers and seek them out at the fest. If you can’t make the long trek out to Cali sit back and live stream the podcasts and panels as they happen. The fest will be recorded so viewers can watch videos for 30 days following the fest.
