With a surname like Tickle, there has to be a backstory. Lucky for you that whole undeniably funny history is covered on the New Jersey native’s new album (YES, REALLY), out in wide release today. We’ve overlooked the fact that the comedian contributes to that OTHER online purveyor of giggles, Laughing Squid, to give you the 411 on this ditty. First, some info about Mr. Tickle. He has appeared at the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival, MusikFest, The Staten Island Comedy Festival, and is preparing for a headlining college tour of the American Northeast in the Fall of 2016. He was also selected as the winner of the national COZI TV Comedy Search in 2015; PLUS, he is a comedy writer and “weird dad.” (Yes, Really), recorded in May at the ArtsQuest Center at Steel Stacks in Bethlehem, PA, features Tickle tackling the pros & cons of his soon to be famous name, his former career as a substitute teacher, raising a child that was thankfully NOT given the first name Tess (think hard), and tons of life lessons we all can learn from Star Wars, children’s cartoons and movies. May we suggest you take a listen and, please, get into comedy if your name is even the least bit provocative.
