Wake up, sheeple! We know it’s Monday, but it’s time to get your thinking caps on because Night Class is in session. On the last episode of NM’s The Crossroads of History we had historical lesson about inoculation. While New England Puritan minister Cotton Mather got most of the credit for spreading the graces of vaccination to colonial America, it was actually his slave Onesimus who can be thanked for passing on the vital medical knowledge to Mather. Skeptical at first, the masses eventually accepted inoculation as a valid method of decimating the smallpox outbreak. Thank goodness!
This sketch was written by ELIZABETH SHAPIRO. The cast includes Carlos Alazraqui as Dr. Douglas, Byron Bowers as Onesimus, Julie Brister as a puritan woman, Felicia Day as Martha Carrier, Jon Dore as Praise God-Smith, John Michael Higgins as Cotton Mather, Nicole Randell Johnson as Prudence, James Crosby & Alex Rich as puritans and Vince Lozano as the Executioner.
