Back in February we told you about a Kickstarter organized by Brooklyn comedians and roommates Matt Harkins and Viviana Olen, who previously invited New Yorkers into their apartment hallway for the very first Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan 1994 Museum. The Kickstarter promised a new exhibit, THNK1994 Museum, The Olsen Twins Hiding From the Paparazzi, featuring paintings by Chicago artist Laura Collins. Having outgrown their small apartment space, the duo needed funds to bring the exhibit to a larger audience at a new venue. The Kickstarter thankfully reached it’s goal of $10,000. The new exhibit will open April 22nd with an invite-only gala, holding regular hours interspersed with events like The Real Housewives Symposium and a Fan Fiction Reading Series beginning >April 23rd. The exhibit is sure to draw copious grins at the new space, a former doctor’s office in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. In addition to the displayed artwork expect a two-way mirror, a Sia-cycle class, larger-than-life sculpture of a bowl filled with cigarettes, unlimited LaCroix seltzer and more. The exhibit runs through May 1st. Click HERE for the full schedule. Be sure to laugh heartily while you become culturally aware, kids.
