We’ve featured the fantastic videos of SJ&GINNY countless times here on Comedy Cake. Now the team of SJ Son and Ginny Leise are using their viral video, web series and filmmaking capabilities to create a new project. Using the power of Kickstarter the ladies wish to crowdfund a new TV pilot called URBAN TEACH NOW (UTN). The project is based on SJ’s own experiences. In UTN recent grad and go-getter, Eunice Son, joins a non-profit teaching program after being rejected from her dream job on Wall Street. At the public high school in New Orleans, she struggles in the foreign environment with merely a B.A. in Business Management and copious amounts of entitlement. Will she be able to relate to both her students and fellow teachers? Well, that’s the big question!
