Reformed Whores? Is that the name of the latest drink at my local speakeasy? NO, silly (at least, not yet). The Reformed Whores are the spitfire musical comedy duo that hails from deep, dark South. If Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift and LeeAnn Rimes morphed into one and made babies with a slightly warped version of Flight of the Conchords you’d get this comedy rock sensation. Singers/laugh makers Marie Cecile Anderson and Katy Frame gift the world hilariously naughty country ballads with that delicious country virtue. The ladies have been featured on Gotham Comedy Live, IFC, The Huffington Post, Nerve.com, The Washington Post, Sports Illustrated, PBS, BUST Magazine, IAF.tv, Glamour Magazine, MTV’s Guy Code blog, CBS’s The Doctors and more. At South Dakota’s Legendary Sturgis Buffalo Chip, the duo opened for Alice Cooper and Godsmack and in MAY 2016 they’ll be opening for rock guitarist Dweezil Zappa in RIDGEFIELD (May 3), ARDMORE (May 4), ALEXANDRIA (May 5) and BOSTON (May 7).
The Reformed Whores‘ take subject matter like feminism, dating, and personal hygiene to a whole new humorous and raunchy level on their second LP Don’t Beat Around the Bush. With tracks like Hump-A-Lot Bear, Online Dating, Hoo Ha, and Eating Out the girls can’t help standing out in the rock comedy crowd. Their new NSFW LP is set to be released Friday, March 18th. You can be a part of the Official Album Release Show Thursday, March 17th at The Slipper Room in NYC where the gals will be playing hits from their new album. Save the date, ya hear!
