Can we ever get enough of Pee-wee? NEVER! Pee-wee’s Big Adventure will always be our favorite movie starring the beloved and always quirky character. “I know you are, but what am I?” Classic. However, it’s possible we could change our minds very soon. After years and years of pre-mature leaks and a lot of talking Pee-wee’s Big Holiday will have it’s world premiere at SXSW this year. Written by Paul Reubens and Paul Rust (Comedy Bang! Bang!) and directed by John Lee (Wonder Showzen), the film will feature Pee-wee taking his first-ever holiday after a meeting with a mysterious stranger. It stars Reubens, Joe Manganiello (Magic Mike XXL), Jessica Pohly (Theme Song Rebel), Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development) and Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine). The film will be out on Netflix March 2016. Fingers crossed for some dark Pee-wee humor.
