Not only does Conan O’Brien like to push the envelope when it comes to comedy, the late-night host has been garnering attention for his historical accomplishments. To add to his Cuba visit, yesterday CONAN showed off a tour of ARMENIA, the first time a late-night host has broadcast a remote episode from the country. Conan and his traveling companion, assistant Sona Movsesian, had the adventure of a lifetime. Conan practiced his Armenian language skills in the marketplace
(where he spotted an Irish delicacy), sensually learned the art of rug making,
guest starred in an Armenian Soap Opera,
and made a poignant visit to The Armenian Genocide Memorial.
Conan may not look Armenian, but there’s no doubt he’s an honorary ambassador now.
