Let me just start out by saying that Matt Braunger is one of my all time favorite comedians to watch in person. He’s charismatic, spontaneous and truly inspiring as a human being. Whether you’ve never had the privledge of a performance by this immense talent or are a super fan, it’s time to get excited. The world premiere of Matt Braunger: Big, Dumb Animal, the comedian’s second one-hour stand-up special, happens Friday, February 6 on Comedy Central. During this performance at The Bell House in Brooklyn Braunger explores why being 39 is lamer than being 40, why Portland is too damn nice, exactly what it’s like to be a “big dumb animal” with anger issues, and so much more.
Matt Braunger’s TV credits include @midnight, Chelsea Lately, Up All Night, MADtv, The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, Letterman, United States of Tara, Pushing Daisies, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Live At Gotham, and more. Braunger is a regular at UCB LA and tours in comedy clubs across the country. He’s also been a staple at the comedy festival circuit, including Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and Chicago, The TBS Comedy Festival Las Vegas, Rooftop Comedy Festival in Aspen, and South By Southwest. He also co-founded the Bridgetown Comedy Festival held in Portland annually. OK, enough gushing!
