Quick Dish NY: VOCABARET ‘A Tourney at Law’ TOMORROW 1.10 at Caveat

It’s time for the annual debate show, in which Nikolai Vanyo presides over a series of language tête-à-têtes covering some very important language topics (and some ridiculous ones). Don’t miss VOCABARET: A TOURNEY AT LAW happening TOMORROW, January 10th at Caveat.

Do you marvel at morphemes? Are you scintillated by syntax? Then you belong at Vocabaret, where your noble wordsmiths make language fun while making fun of language. Each month new themes are explored — from Phobias to Butts — in segments with titles like “Back That A-Z Up,” “Glossed in Translation” and “Will You Accept This Prose?” Dads love us—and you will too (whether you’re a kiki or a bouba).

Will this first show of 2025 be the best? That’s debatable per (VOCABARET masters of the word themselves).
