Quick Dish LA: ‘SHIPPING: A Musical’ Premieres 10.17 & 10.18 at The Elysian

Come immerse yourself in a totally historically accurate comedy musical that takes place in a 1840’s Nantucket whaling community, where a woman could only hope to be a wife, a widow, or a barnacle-covered sea witch. SHIPPING: A Musical is a story about interspecies friendship and sexual liberation, featuring some of LA’s funniest performers. The show is written by Jen Jackson (Animal Control, Miracle Workers) and Louisa Kellogg (The Onion, Crank Yankers) with music by Brian Heveron-Smith (Fanny, Chris Fleming: Hell). The cast includes:

Ryan Asher
Alison Banowsky
Jordan Lee Cohen
Susan Glynn
Andrew Knox
