If you’ve been with Comedy Cake a while, then you’ll be familiar with the epic event that married stand-up and music, known as The Goddamn Comedy Jam. The host and creator of that live event, JOSH ADAM MEYERS, continues to invite famous comedians to sing cover songs with a live band at the show’s Los angeles homebase, The Comedy Store. GDCJ, of course, went on to inspire a TV version, and a special on Comedy Central. The show has toured the continent performing on the live festival circuit in front of thousands of die-hard comedy fans.
Meyers is known for pushing boundaries, bridging the gap between stand-up comedy and rock charisma. He is no stranger to live performances. In fact, he’s has just come off the road opening for Jelly Roll in front of 20k fans a night at 45 different arenas and amphitheatres. In addition, he has toured arenas with Bill Burr, was featured on Bill Burr’s Friends Who Kill (Netflix), The Ringers (Comedy Central), and can also be heard voicing ‘DJ’ Howlin Hank’ on Bill Burr’s F is for Family (Netflix).
Dubbed as one part stand-up comic and one part rock star, Meyers commands the stage with his signature high energy, raspy voice, and an unparalleled ability to seamlessly integrate comedy and music. Every element in the club becomes part of the show, creating an immersive experience for the audience. The staff, the audience, and even unexpected appearances by a full rock band—all contribute to Meyers’ unforgettable performances.
Meyers has performed at Madison Square Garden, Kennedy Center, Netflix Is A Joke Festival, JFL Toronto, NY Comedy Festival, Moontower Comedy, Bonnaroo, Bumbershoot, Blue Whale, Outsidelands, RIOT LA, Bridgetown, Life is Beautiful, and Clusterfest, amongst others. Now you can Josh in person as he brings his SKADOODLES AMERICA (and Canada) Tour to the states and around our neighbors to the North. This one hour live show is not to be missed.
