Comedian JESS SALOMON (Tonight Show, BBC, Just for Laughs) will tape a new hour of stand-up that will comprise her sophomore comedy album and debut special Sad Witch, slated for release on the 800 Pound Gorilla label.
In Sad Witch, Salomon unearths comedy found on the other side of a tumultuous couple of years. The album runs the gamut from pandemic stresses on relationships, couples therapy, getting a hysterectomy on the day of the insurrection (a perfect alibi), her epic comedy origin story (move over Joker), to a hilarious defense of bisexuality! The name “Sad Witch” comes from a comedy show host mishearing the name of her monthly comedy show (with Gastor Almonte) “Sandwich.”
Salomon will tape two show at Brooklyn’s Union Hall TOMORROW, June 29th, an early and late. Come see one or come see them all and have the added bonus of an opening set from DeAnne Smith!
Mentions: Early Show 7:30pm, late show 10pm EDT. Ticket info HERE. Location: Union Hall | 702 Union St. Brooklyn, NY 11215. Give Jess a FOLLOW. Feed the beast.
