It’s that time of year, folks. Come again? You know, the holiday season where two Jewish, native New Yorkers, Lana Schwartz (The New Yorker, McSweeney’s) and Ilana Michelle Rubin (MTV, Reductress), get pretty lonely motivating them to put on a fabulous event. For the sixth year in a row, Lana and Ilana are inviting some of the funniest Jewish comedians in NYC to help them celebrate the Miracle of Lights! At this Chanukah/Hannukah/Hanukah celebration there will be songs, laughter, surprises, and plenty of gelt (that means money given as presents during the festival of Hanukkah, which this time goes to the Holocaust Survivor Initiative)! The event takes place this Thursday, December 22nd at Littlefield, featuring performances by:
Brandon Follick (Reductress, Awf Mag)
Alon Elian (Good For You Comedy)
Rebecca Weiser (Backyard Show, Refinery29)
Anna Suzuki (New Amsterdam, Will & Grace)
Charlie Bardey (Vulture, Caroline’s)
Jess Salomon (The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Just For Laughs)
My understand is that this is not a Christmas show or a holiday show, but a Chanukah show through and through where people of all faiths are welcome to laugh. Enjoy!
