Join New York City’s most-decorated wordsmiths as they host a night of raucous wordplay, etymological deep-dives and alphabetic absurdity dissecting words and exploring the link between language and our daily lives. Every VOCABARET show is centered around a theme, featuring games, challenges and special guests. This special VOCABARET: A Quipmas Carol (hosted by Sam Corbin, Tim Donnelly, Jerzy Gwiazdowski, Ally Spier and Nikolai Vanyo with musical guest Kimberly Dinaro), will gather one and all THIS Friday, December 10th at Caveat to recount the classic tale of that “humbug” word-Scrooge who will be visited by ghosts of words past, present and future. Will that miserly fellow be able to learn the true meaning of Quipmas or will he be forever spooked by our slang, TikToks, and a plethora of pronouns that he’ll be seeing double Tiny Tims? Don’t miss out!
