You made it, kids….not to the end of your journey, but to the FINAL episode of Season One of the BOOKED Comedy web series. “The Tiny Desk Concerts of comedy” series has been keeping us highly entertained during our quarantine times and we have our fingers crossed we will be blessed with a second season. In the meantime, you can add some sugar to your day with this stellar set from comedian Emilia Barrosse. The comedian takes on some subject matter you wouldn’t expect including
- some self-deprecating humor concerning a self-haircut performed pre-COVID
- a surprising view on the rantings of a street preacher
- the relation between scooters and tumbleweeds
- why carving statues into mountains never caught on
- the most underrated of the presidents
- Barosse’s experience with the majesty of a national park view
AND a take on the Trix rabbit you just cannot ignore. I’d like to add that if you imagine the anthropomorphic cartoon rabbit as nightmare fuel for the dark, fictional comic character Mr. Rabbit in the cult British film Utopia, then maybe Emilia’s take isn’t far off at all. Hmmmm…enjoy! “Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids.”
