The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival returns March 24 – 28 with an online sketch comedy Screen Time Edition called TOsketchfest21. The FIVE-day online fest will celebrate the creativity of sketch comics during pandemic times featuring the best in scripted, ensemble comedy. This go-round you can expect over 100 titles from all around the world, including rising stars, and Canadian comedy legends.
scripted, ensemble comedyThe Opening Night of TOsketchfest21 will kick off Wednesday, March 24 with shorts from past award winners Tita Collective and Darrell Faria; Festival Favourites Christian Smith and Natalie Metcalfe; a taste of the Marcia the Self-Help Guru webseries; rising sketch comedy stars Avan Neo, and Cheap Wine; plus the New York Spotlight begins with appearances by Kaili Y Turner and The Nitro Girls.
The Closing Night Gala happening Sunday, March 28 will present a 60 minute table read from Untitled Black Sketch Project, Canada’s premiere all-Black ensemble sketch troupe.
