The Ladies of Comedy Association was founded in 2011, and is a bicoastal networking organization dedicated to advancing the careers and positions of women on the business side of comedy. The organization includes broadcast and cable network executives, agents, managers, publicists, lawyers, casting directors, producers and more. Comedy Gives Back’s goal is to create a safety net for comedians in need. “For comedians, being onstage alone is part of the job. Feeling alone offstage is unacceptable. We’re here to help provide comedians with mental health, medical, and crisis support.”
Nowhere Comedy Club has come to the rescue of comedians who lost their ability to tour and provide live entertainment due to all the shutdowns. They have replaced over $300,000 worth of work for comedians, and have become one of the premiere destinations for live comedy online. Proceeds from the September event will be able to be earmarked for black performers for Comedy Gives Back’s forthcoming Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) fund. Multi-tier tickets are now available on Eventbrite. More info below!
Mentions: Full ticket info at Eventbrite. Early Bird, Regular Admission, Couples, Group, and Corporate Sponsor tickets available. Nowhere Comedy Club will provide it’s service via Zoom platform.
