Tasty News: HOLD MY BREAD – A Personal Finance Comedy Podcast For Modern Financial Times

Just look around, plenty of people have extra time on their hands as a result of the quarantine. Soooo, isn’t NOW the best time ever to focus your attention on understanding those valuable finances? The answer is “YES!” You too can become a “breadhead” and “join the gluten gang” with a finance comedy podcast that puts the carbs in wealth management. HOLD MY BREAD began in 2019 by New York City-based comedians MATT BACHUS (10,000 Laughs, Limestone, SLO) and JOEL WALKOWSKI (NFL fan therapy, New York Times, Comedy Central, ESPN). They focus their attention on helping the millennial set gain full control of their personal finances over the internet digi-waves. Per co-host Walkowski, “Hold My Bread not only warns about unseemly behavior in the financial sector. Given its outsider status, the podcast has the ability to offer financial advice without ulterior motive.” And Bachus say, “I never felt school really prepared me to handle my own finances more than skin deep so I think the podcast is a good tool for people who might be in a similar situation to learn with us while still having a good laugh.” Seems like getting a strong foothold on one’s finances early is the best kind of investment!

Hold My Bread episodes offer up stock market investment knowledge that highlighted by their research, listener e-mails, the occasional over qualified guest, and, of course, those educated hunches. The latest installment features guest and comic Brendan Gay (Freestyle Comedy) who’s looking to start investing. Will the hosts convince him to get friendly with Draft Kings, stay away from Robinhood, and take those financial message board tips to the bank? Only one way to find out! Perhaps soon you may find yourself flailing about in your PJs like a Jim Cramer or ringing the “Closing Bell” with a Maria Bartiromo. Enjoy and take a listen!
