This Saturday, May 17th, is gonna be a busy night! Comedy and art have always been best buds. So could there be a better way to celebrate artistic expression than with more artistic expression? NO! At the Meltdown Gallery inside NerdMelt Showroom the Mr. Show Show will be showing off artwork celebrating a comedy program that has produced some of the best actor/comedians this world has ever seen. If you are unfamiliar (slow eye roll), Mr. Show with Bob & David was a sketch comedy series from the 90s that starred Bob Odenkirk (Fargo,Breaking Bad,Comedy Bang! Bang!) and David Cross (Arrested Development, The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret). It was an alternative show before alt was even a thing. The sketches were crazy legendary and the show produced a cast of talent that will be quite familiar to you including Sarah Silverman, Paul F. Tompkins, Jack Black, Tom Kenny, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Brian Posehn, Jerry Minor, Scott Aukerman, and Dino Stamatopoulos. ANYHOO, the Mr. Show Show opening reception happens Saturday from 7-10pm and the tribute runs from May 17-24. The exhibition will feature works of art inspired by Mr. Show and created by a diverse group of artists. There will be live music, FREE drinks, and special guest appearances by cast members. There will ALSO be a Drugachusettes photo booth! The show is curated by Danielle N. Kramer, Nico Colaleo and Sara Pocock and the artists include (drumroll please)
